Three big Ideals from module.
1. It's all about feelings for those with dementia.
2. when caring for those with dementia you can also have feelings as they do.
3. when caring for someone with dementia you should have a helpful approach, when working with them.
Two Examples.
1. While caring for someone with dementia, if they are experiencing feelings of depression it is very likley you will experience those same feelings as well while you are with them.
2. While caring for someone with dementia you should respect the feelings that they are going through and not approach them in a unpleasant way which can cause them to feel even worser than they are you should make them feel cofortable and agree with what ever feelings they are having at that time and approach them like you want to help them and you care.
What did you learn this week.
I learned that someone with dementia can be made to feel worser by the responds that you give them, while your thinking that they are un responsive they are wondering why you responded in the way you did are you really listening and being focused on them or not?

Is there any new technology that is helping with a progression of solutions for dementia?
